British Craft Pavilion Returns

British Craft Pavilion Returns

The British Craft Pavilion returns for another year this 21–24 September. It is in collaboration with and curated by Hole & Corner, the quarterly magazine dedicated to stories of craft, beauty, passion and skill. Taking place at the London Design Fair at Old Truman Brewery, the Pavilion promises to be grander in its second year.

The British Craft Pavilion will present British craftsmanship working across materials such as glass, ceramics, metal, leather and wood to create contemporary craft pieces. The inaugural show gathered 27,000 visitors, from retail, gallerists, the design loving public and press.

Director & Founder of London Design Fair Jimmy MacDonald stated, "The team at the Fair are incredibly passionate about craft in itself but also see craft as the vital first step in any design process. This years' British Craft Pavilion will grow to include more disciplines and a lifestyle element."

The British Craft Pavilion will feature 50 selected makers this year. Their collective diligence displaying intelligent methods of thinking and pioneering ways of making. Exhibitors this year are helping to reimagine and revive British craft. Thus, a large scale installation has been commissioned, along with a craft cafe.

The London Design Fair is a four-day event that brings together 500 exhibitors from 28 countries. London Design Fair hosts the largest collection of international exhibitions, designers, brands, country pavilions, features and exhibitions in one destination during the London Design Festival.

The British Craft Pavilion is now an annual fixture.
